Hello,
I would suggest you first try Red Hat Linux 9, as it contains a newer
version of XFree86 and newer versions of the Red Hat configuration
tools. If Red Hat Linux 9 still has the same problem, then you should
search for bugs at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/ -- if you don't
see anything matching your problem you can file a bug and hopefully work
towards getting this fixed.
