[TriLUG] Mozilla's email reader shows text instead of formatted HTML

I am trying to pipe a popperly formatted  html page througe the mail
program.  The problem is that when I do this, Mozilla's email reader does not format
the page but simply shows the html text

How do I tell mozilla's email reader  that the  message is an html and not text?
