On the other hand we might be looking at salary deflation in the
US and Europe.  See sig below.  I think it's a pretty good salary
myself.  I predict that next year this job will be going for $40k-$45k,
and the year after that..., well you get the idea.  I'd love to be
proven wrong.

Becoming a spam-killer is a good idea.  You could advertise the number
of spams you've blocked like a certain burger stand advertises the 
number of burgers served.
