[TriLUG] DVD Burner?

My CD Burner seems to have gone south, and I'm thinking about getting a
DVD burner to replace it.

I noticed that Tiger Direct has a couple of Hi-Val internal drives the
slower one goes for $99 and the faster for $119 both with a $20 rebate
til the end of the month.

Does anyone know if these will work with Linux?  The model numbers are
HDVDRW8D for the faster one and HDVDRW4D for the slower one.
