[TriLUG] Slightly OT: Apache1.x Vs. Apache 2.x

Ok, I am getting ready to replace my web server and I am trying to decide
if I want to run Apache 1.x or 2.x.  I am actually running them both right
now on different machines, but I don't have any techinical requirements
that demand one over the other.  I just figured I would ask if their are
any specific reasons why anyone prefers one over the other.  The web
server will be pretty basic, just running PHP/Squirrelmail(SM).  I know SM
says not to run with Apache 2, but it seems to work fine on a number of
machines I have run it on.
