For the record, the TriLUG deal is on BellSouth DSL, not Verizon DSL.  
They do offer service on Verizon DSL, including static IPs for a nominal 
fee.  If you explicitly mention TriLUG, and are interested in Verizon 
DSL, they may be able to work out something for you.
