[TriLUG] Buffalo AirStation Wireless NIC (PCI) WLI2-PCI-G54 - Linux compatible?

I need a low profile PCI wireless card for a system at home and a Google 
search turns these up as affordable alternatives.

Anybody have one of these that they can either:

- Vouch that it works under Linux (later 2.4 kernel)
- Report what chipset it's running
- Suggest a different low profile, low cost wireless PCI NIC
