maintain a RHEL-based Linux OS and utilities that manage blades
and networks.

Tekelec is looking for a Software Engineer 1.

Main  Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include development of Linux platform products for the
Global Product Solutions. Employee will develop kernel and user space
Linux software for deployment on Tekelec?s T1X00 family of servers, COTS
servers, and COTS Enterprise blades. Other duties may be assigned.

Must have experience in the following:

    * Linux OS (x86) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4/5/6
    * Development with a high level language such as Perl,
      Python, Ruby, or C
    * Development with shell scripting
    * Linux software packaging using RPM
    * Software development using Open Source software
    * Strong documentation skills


Experience with the following is desirable:

    * Networking and Web Services is a plus
    * KVM, VMWare, or other virtual machine technologies
    * SOAP
    * SNMP
    * IPMI
    * IPSEC

BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,
or equivalent is required.   A minimum of 0-2 years of software
development experience in Open Systems Linux software development is
required.   Must possess strong customer emphasis and team orientation.
 Must have initiative and be a self-starter.  Strong documentation
skills are a plus.
