It's a thin gui wrapper over gpg (it even allows you to pull up the gpg
--edit-key prompt). I'm not sure how that interface compares to

Claws-mail also supports pgg/mime (through a plugin)
Another cool gpg utility is the vim gnupg plugin
<http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=3645>, it allow
transparent editing of pgp encrypted files; preventing the cleartext
from ever hitting disk. The emacs analogous program seems to be called
easypg.
