[TriLUG] Avoiding the TWC modem rental fee

We a owned a modem I bought for comcast back when I lived in DC. Upon
getting the Triple play package from TWC we were informed we must use their
modem to make the phone work, we explained we would not pay a rental fee as
we already owned the modem. They agreed and installed their modem and did
not charge us for it. Your mileage may vary of course.
