[TriLUG] Specs for a good workstation

For what it's worth, we run 50 lamp stack containers on Ubuntu 16.04 using
LXD with 4 CPUs and 8GB RAM. Each container stack runs nginx, php, and
MySQL. Typical CPU usage is probably 20% for the entire server; typical
RAM usage is about 160MB per container.

We prefer LXD over docker due to persistent data stores and the ability to
run a single container for the entire stack.

I guess my point is a regular PC with 16GB RAM should be plenty to run your
docker stacks.

Hope this helps.
