CENTOS is systemd too. If systemd continues to be a bother on CENTOS,
consider some of the sans-systemd alternatives:
* Devuan
* Void Linux
* Funtoo
* Several others
I've used Void Linux for a couple years and am so in love with it my
wife has hired a private detective.
